Rizzini

Battista Rizzini founded the company in 1966.¹ He runs it with his three children, Giuseppe, Moira and Pamela.² The company gives its address as Marcheno, Brescia, and ties its craft tradition to Val Trompia.² Rizzini describes its guns as entirely made in Italy, combining modern machinery with that tradition.^{3, 4}

Battista began working for himself on 3 September 1966, in a workshop in the cellar of his house in Via Leno, Marcheno.^{5, 6} His early work included mechanical components for Beretta, Uberti, Bernardelli and FN.⁷ Later guns included the S76 over-and-under and the Aurum and Artemis models.⁸

Rizzini’s first workshop stood in Via Leno, Marcheno.⁶ Building began on the Via 2 Giugno works in 1989.⁹ The company’s address is Via 2 Giugno 7/7 bis.¹⁰ Its production facilities include a design office, computer-controlled machinery, a department making stocks and fore-ends, gunsmith assembly and an indoor shooting tunnel.¹¹

Battista’s early component work served Beretta, Uberti, Bernardelli and FN.⁷ For thirty years he also made bolts and other components for Browning.¹² In April 2004 Rizzini began making fine and custom guns with Ivano Tanfoglio.¹³ Rizzini USA is the American service centre for B. Rizzini.¹⁴
