Origins

Giorgio and Antonio Guerini set out to make shotguns inspired by English craftsmanship and produced entirely in Italy.2 Their plans took shape in 2000 in the Trompia Valley, in the Brescia area.3 The brothers began in a small facility at Marcheno.4 Production started there in 2001 with 12- and 20- and the Roman MMI .4

At first Fabarm held part of Caesar Guerini’s capital.5 Antonio Sala, then associated with Fabarm, helped the brothers set the new company’s objectives and strategy.5 In 2002 the brothers formed Caesar Guerini USA with Wesley Lang, and their first guns reached the American market in 2003.6, 7

Factories and partners

Caesar Guerini opened its new headquarters in 2006, with more than 2,000 square metres over two floors.8 Firearm testing and ballistic studies take place in an underground area.8 The ground floor houses machining and dimensional inspection; the upper floor holds assembly, offices, the security vault and an exhibition room.9 The company’s address is Via Canossi 18F, Marcheno, Brescia.10

In 2008 the Guerini brothers bought Fabarm’s remaining stake in Caesar Guerini.11 They acquired 50% of Fabarm in 2011, and in December 2015 Caesar Guerini became its sole shareholder.12, 13 The maker describes the consolidation as strengthening organisational, commercial and production cooperation.14 Wesley Lang describes the American and Italian Caesar Guerini operations as working as one company.15 Syren draws models from both the Guerini and Fabarm ranges.16
