he High Tech is Perazzi's range of competition guns for the clay disciplines.1, 2, 3 The standard gun has large smoke-black logos on both sides of the receiver and chequered hinge pins.4 The gun in Perazzi's brochure has a black-and-silver , a that widens from 7 mm to 10 mm, and High Tech logos in the and .5, 6

The standard High Tech has a removable group with coil or flat springs.7 The High Tech S has a fixed single selective group with coil springs.8 Both come with standard, custom or adjustable stocks and with fixed or interchangeable .7, 8 The version has 12- or 20- barrels with fixed Cylinder chokes or interchangeable tubes.3

Identify and date

On the standard gun the large logos lie beneath clear varnish on both sides of the receiver.4 The gun shown in 2015 has the Perazzi name and the High Tech designation in the wood ahead of the recoil pad and under the fore-end.14 The Anniversary gun has its full edition inscription and sequential number beneath the receiver, and all its is in pure platinum.15

Italian proof stamps are on the rear underside of the barrels and on the action.16 The year stamp records the year of proof.17 On 1 June 2020 the replaced the letter code with the last two digits of the year in a rectangle.18, 19, 20

Proof date

The stamp gives the year of proof. CZ applies up to 31 May 2020, and 20 from 1 June 2020. The later stamp encloses the year’s last two digits in a rectangle.17, 18, 20

Before you buy

  1. On a standard High Tech, find out whether the removable trigger group has coil or flat springs.7
  2. On an S, confirm that the trigger is the fixed single selective coil-spring unit specified for the model.8
  3. Measure the barrels and check the chokes; Perazzi lists standard lengths as well as lengths and chokes made to order.7
  4. Try the gun's own stock and fore-end; wood finish, fore-end style and dimensions can differ from those of Gun Mart's High Tech S test gun.21
  5. Check an Anniversary gun's underside inscription, edition number and platinum decoration against Perazzi's description.15

History

Perazzi launched the High Tech in 2015 and offered trials at the Gran Mondiale in Lonato that July.1, 11, 12 The original action was based on the MX8, while the Sporting version used the MX12 arrangement with a fixed .1, 2 The Platinum Anniversary edition, with glossy black metalwork and platinum lettering, appeared at IWA 2017.22
