he SO10 Kronos exposes its lockwork through sapphire windows. Beretta made this unique 12- gun with Italian watchmaker La Vallée for its 500th anniversary.1, 2

Beretta machined each from a single block of steel and designed a new opening mechanism for the plates. A gold spring with three lobes holds the pins in place of conventional screws. A curved catch in the crystal releases each plate.3
